Active Metal Pvt. is the name on the gate at Plot No. 4235. We are tucked away in Phase-3 of the Gidc. It’s an area where everyone is busy making something or other. Our particular spot is mostly about metalwork. We have these big machines that take up most of the room. When they are all running at once, you have to shout to be heard. We don't mind it much. It’s the sound of business. We’ve got a small team and we all do a bit of everything. One day you might be moving crates and the next you’re operating the cutter. It keeps things interesting at Plot 4235. We’ve been here in Phase-3 long enough to know all the tea stall owners nearby. Active Metal isn't a place for people who are afraid of getting a bit of grease on their shirts. We work hard and then we go home. The floor is concrete and it’s seen a lot of wear over the years. We keep the lights on late sometimes when there’s a lot to do. It’s a simple life. We don't have any big speeches about what we do. We just make the parts and make sure they're ready on time. That’s the way it goes here in the industrial estate. It’s a practical way to spend the day and we like the work.
