Jay Kanaya Brass Industries

Our place, Jay Kanaya Brass Industries, is located at Plot No 762 in the Gidc area of Dared, specifically Phase-Ii. If you know Dared, you know there is a lot of brass work happening here. We are just one of the many shops trying to make a living. The air usually smells a bit like metal and heat. We have several machines that run almost all day long. It gets quite loud, so we have learned to talk over the noise. We make all sorts of small brass parts. Some are for plumbing, some are for electrical stuff, it just varies depending on the month. We aren't a giant factory. It is a relatively small operation where everyone knows their role. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a batch if the machines were acting up earlier in the day. That is just part of the business. We don't have a polished showroom to show off. If you come by, you will see us in our work clothes, likely covered in a bit of dust. We prefer it that way. It is honest work and it keeps us moving. The roads in Phase-Ii can get a bit bumpy, especially during the monsoon, but we are used to it. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the brass is the right quality for the job. We just work.
