Bhagvanji Dharamshi Kothari

We are located at A-13 in the Marketing Yard at Hapa. The name of the place is Bhagvanji Dharamshi Kothari. Being in the marketing yard means it’s always dusty and noisy with trucks coming and going at all hours. We have been here for many years, dealing with whatever crops or agricultural goods happen to be in season. It’s certainly not a quiet office job. We are usually out on the floor or standing near the main gate checking what comes in. The space we have is mostly for storage and for weighing things on the big scales. There are no fancy decorations or rugs in here. It’s just plain concrete floors and heavy bags stacked high. We deal with farmers and traders all day long. Some days the sun is really harsh out in the yard, so we stay under the shade of the roof as much as possible. Our family has been doing this work for a very long time. We know almost everyone else in the yard by their first name. It gets very crowded during the peak harvest times, and sometimes you can barely move between the stacks of goods. We don't have a big website or do any kind of advertising. People just know where we are because we’ve always been right here at A-13. We just keep our books manually for the most part and make sure the weights are correct. It’s a lot of physical work and early mornings. If you come by, you’ll probably see us drinking tea.
