Yatri Travels

We have been here at Yatri Travels for quite a while now. Our spot is right on the Vaishnodevi Jammu Road, just opposite Hotel Asia in Katra. If you know the area, it gets really busy during the yatra season. We mostly handle people coming through for the shrine. It is a small setup, nothing too fancy. My brother and I usually sit here most of the day. Sometimes the internet is slow or the phone doesn't stop ringing when the trains are late. We just try to get things sorted for whoever walks in. Usually, it is just about helping with cars or booking a seat. People ask us where to eat or how the weather is up the hill. We just tell them what we know. The office stays open late during the peak months. There are lots of shops around us here in Katra. You can see the mountains from the front door on a clear day. We have seen the town change a lot over the years. The road used to be narrower and there were fewer hotels. Now there is always traffic and noise. We just keep doing our thing here. Most people find us because of the sign near the hotel. It is not a big corporate office with uniforms. We just wear what we have and talk to people plainly. If you are coming towards the temple, you will probably pass us. It gets cold in the winters but the pilgrims still come. That is just how life is here.
