Uday Travel Tour Operators

Uday Travel Tour Operators is based out of Village Domi in P. O. Bathera. This part of Jammu is where we grew up and we know the roads pretty well. We aren't a big agency with hundreds of people. It’s just a few of us in a small room with some old maps and a couple of phones that never stop ringing. We help people get from one place to another in Jammu and Kashmir. Sometimes that means booking a car or finding a room in a guesthouse. The weather here can be tricky, so we spend a lot of time checking if the roads are open or if the snow is too deep. People call us at all times of the night asking for help. We do our best to answer. Our address is Jammu No. 181206. We don't have a fancy office with leather chairs. It’s mostly just wooden benches and a lot of tea. My cousin drives one of the main vehicles and he’s been doing it for twenty years. We tell people the truth about how long a trip will take. If a road is bad, we say so. We don't want anyone getting stuck. Most of our work comes from word of mouth in the village and surrounding areas. We’re just regular people trying to help other people see this beautiful part of the country. It’s a quiet life in Domi but the travel business keeps us busy every single day.
