We are located at House Number 62 in Priya Darshani Lane, which is over in the Paloura area of Talab Tillo. If you know where the BSF Camp in Patta is, we are right opposite that. It is a bit of a trek into the lane, but it keeps us away from the worst of the main road noise. Our setup is pretty simple. It is basically a home-based office where we handle all the travel work. We didn’t see the point in getting a big flashy shop when most of our work happens over the phone or with people from the neighborhood. It is a quiet street for the most part, though things pick up when the school nearby lets out in the afternoon. We spend most of the morning sorting through travel schedules and checking prices for people. It is just me and a couple of others keeping things running. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a team of experts. We just know how the travel business works in Jammu and we use that to help out whoever walks through the door. Sometimes people come by just to ask about bus timings or how to get to the airport. We don’t mind at all. It is part of being in a local lane like this. Most of our clients are people who have known us for years. They know we are just regular folks doing a job and trying to get things right. (256 words)
