University Of Jammu

We are based in Quarter Number D-30 on the New University Campus. It’s a quiet part of the grounds, away from the main lecture halls and the noise of the students. Living and working on campus means we are always around the university environment. The building is a standard staff quarter that we’ve repurposed for our needs. There are trees all around and it’s actually a very calm place to get things done. We handle various administrative tasks and some academic coordination from here. Our desks are squeezed into what used to be the living area and bedrooms. It’s not a formal office with cubicles. We often have people dropping by to drop off papers or ask questions about campus life. We have a small kettle for making tea and we usually eat our lunch outside when the weather is nice. The walk to the main gate is a bit long, so we mostly stay put during the day. We don’t have a big budget for decorations, so it’s mostly just shelves full of books and files. It’s a very academic atmosphere, even though it’s technically a residential building. We just follow the university schedule and keep things running as smoothly as possible from this little corner. If the power goes out, we just take a break and chat. It’s a simple way to spend the workday while being part of the bigger university community.
