Tata Motors(National Garage)

The National Garage over at 15 Gurah Bakshi Nagar is a place that stays busy from the very moment we open the doors. We get a lot of vehicles coming through this part of Jammu every single day. The whole place smells like engine oil and old metal most of the time, which is exactly how a working garage should be. We deal with Tata trucks and cars all day long, and some days the yard gets so full of vehicles that you can barely find a spot to walk. The mechanics are always busy under a hood or lying on a creeper under a big chassis. It is quite noisy with the sound of pneumatic wrenches and engines revving up, but after a few weeks, you just get used to the racket. We spend a good amount of time on the phone looking for spare parts or talking to drivers who are in a big hurry to get back on the road. Bakshi Nagar is a lively neighborhood, and we are right in the thick of it. We have a small area where people can sit and wait, usually just scrolling on their phones while we finish their service. It is not a glossy showroom like you see in the big cities; it is just a working garage where real work happens. Sometimes the monsoon rain makes the yard a bit muddy, but we keep going anyway. The tea stall nearby gets a lot of business from us during our breaks.
