Sawhney Tours & Travels is based at 94/3 in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu. We’ve been operating from this same spot for a long time now. The office is just a part of the building where we have a few chairs and a computer set up. It’s a quiet neighborhood compared to the city center, which we like. Most of our day is spent talking to drivers or checking on hotel bookings for families. We don’t do anything too fancy. We just help people get from one place to another without a lot of trouble. Trikuta Nagar is a nice place to work from. We know most of the neighbors and they often stop by just to chat or ask about travel prices. We don't have any big brochures or polished marketing materials. If someone wants to know about a trip, we just talk it through with them and write down the costs. It’s a very manual process sometimes, but it works for us. We handle a lot of local travel, like people going to Katra or further up into the mountains. The weather can change things quickly, so we spend a lot of time checking the news and road reports. It’s just a regular local business run by people who know the area. We open up every morning and stay until the last phone call is finished. That’s just the way it is here and we wouldn't change it.
