We’ve set up our space at House Number 170 in Model Town, Ludhiana. It’s a residential-feeling area, which makes the workday feel a bit more relaxed than being in a massive office block. Handling money and investments is a serious business, but we don't think that means we have to be stiff and corporate about it. Most of the day is spent looking at screens and going through folders. Ludhiana is a city where people really understand the value of a rupee, so we stay busy. The office has a few desks, some old chairs that have seen better days, and a printer that has a mind of its own. We’ve got a small kitchen area where the kettle is almost always on. It’s just how we operate. We don’t have a big reception team; usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it. The street outside can get quite crowded with cars, especially in the evenings. We’ve been at this Ludhiana address for a while and the locals know us. We aren't interested in making big, empty promises. We just look at the numbers and try to keep things organized for everyone involved. It’s a straightforward job and we like the independence of working from this spot. Sometimes the power flickers when the weather gets bad, but we just carry on with our ledgers. It’s a very human way to run a financial office.
