Navdeep Shiksha Kunj

Navdeep Shiksha Kunj is located at number 44 in Jammu. We’ve been at this spot for a long time, and the building has seen many groups of students come and go over the years. It’s right in the middle of a regular neighborhood, so we are surrounded by houses and small local shops. The school doesn’t look like one of those big, modern institutions you see in magazines nowadays. It’s a practical space where we focus on the day-to-day basics of education for the kids who live nearby. We start our mornings with the usual routine of getting everyone into their classrooms and starting the very first period. The hallways are narrow, and it can get a bit loud when the classes change, but we’ve all gotten used to it over the years. Most of our staff have been working here for a long time, so we’ve seen siblings and even different generations of the same families pass through our doors. We don't use any fancy language or complicated computer systems to run things. We just follow the curriculum and make sure the students are doing their work at their desks. There’s always some maintenance to do, like fixing a broken desk or painting a wall during the summer breaks. It’s just a normal, local school doing what it’s supposed to do for the community. We don’t try to be something we’re not. We just provide a familiar place for the neighborhood kids.
