National Horticulture Board

The National Horticulture Board operates out of House Number 76-C in the New-Plots area of Jammu. It’s a regular house that we’ve turned into an office space. We deal with plants, crops, and farmers from all around the region. Inside, you’ll find desks covered in files about orchards and subsidies. It doesn't look much like a government office from the outside, which makes it feel a bit more welcoming for the local growers. We spend our days talking to people about their fruit trees and how the weather is affecting the harvest. There’s usually a pot of tea going and some maps of the local farmlands spread out. We aren't here to give speeches; we just help people with the paperwork they need for their gardens and farms. New-Plots is a decent area, and being based in a house means we’re right there in the neighborhood. We’ve seen many seasons come and go from this office. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times we have a line of people out the door wanting to discuss their crops. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the records are kept straight. It’s simple, honest work focusing on the land and the people who work it here in Jammu. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now and it suits us just fine. People know where to find us when they need advice on their land or just a quick update.
