M/S S.S.Ahmed & Associates Advocates, J&K High Court

M/S S.S.Ahmed & Associates Advocates is based out of H.No.296 in Mohalla Ustad. It’s an old part of Jammu, and the streets can be a bit narrow and confusing if you aren't from around here. We are quite close to the J&K High Court, which makes sense given the kind of legal work we do every day. The office is basically part of a house, which gives it a very local, neighborhood feel. We’ve got shelves full of old law books and folders tied with red string scattered all over the place. It’s a busy environment, especially when there are big cases coming up at the court. People are always coming in and out, asking for advice or checking on their papers. We don't use a lot of fancy legal jargon when we talk to folks; we just try to tell them how things are in plain English. The area around Mohalla Ustad is full of history and the neighbors all know each other. Sometimes it gets a bit loud with the traffic and the local shops, but it's home for us. We’ve been practicing law from this address for a long time. It’s not a shiny corporate law firm with glass walls. It’s just a place where we sit down with people, listen to their problems, and try to help them navigate the court system. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time reading through thick files.
