Mannat Tour And Travels is located at Shop No 18 in Sector 6, Nanak Nagar. We are in Lane 1, which is quite close to the railway station here in Jammu. Being so near the station means we see a lot of people coming and going at all hours. The office is just a basic room where we keep our schedules and booking books. It’s often a bit dusty because of the construction nearby, but we keep it running. We handle a lot of taxi bookings for people who need to get to the city or out into the smaller villages. It’s not a high-tech office. We still write a lot of things down on paper because it’s faster sometimes. The station area is always a bit chaotic, and our shop is no different. People come in with heavy bags and ask for the quickest way to get to their hotels. We’ve been doing this for a few years now. We don't have any big slogans. We just know the train timings and which roads are blocked. That’s what people really need to know anyway. Sometimes we stay open late if a train is delayed and people need help. It’s just part of being in this business near the station. We like the work because we get to meet all sorts of people from different places. It’s just a regular life here in Nanak Nagar and it keeps us quite busy.
