Kenworld Travels

We are over at Shop No. 16- Ab in Gandhinagar, right near Hotel Asia. Kenworld Travels is a small operation. It’s mostly just me and one other person sitting here with the computers and the phones. We started this because we knew the area and saw that people needed help with their travel plans. Gandhinagar is a good spot in Jammu, and being near the hotel helps because people can find us easily. The office is a bit cramped sometimes with all the files and ledgers we keep. We don’t really do the whole corporate thing. We just talk to people like normal and try to get their flights or bus seats booked without too much fuss. Some days are really slow and we just sit and drink tea and watch the cars go by outside. Other days, the phone won’t stop ringing and everyone wants to go to Delhi or Chandigarh at the same time. We don’t have any fancy mission statements or anything like that. We just do the work. If a flight is cancelled, we spend the afternoon on the phone trying to fix it. That’s about it. We’ve been in this shop for a while and we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a nice little community. We just try to be useful to whoever walks through the door. It is a simple way to spend the day and we like being our own bosses.
