Jagat Travels

Jagat Travels has been sitting right here at Shop No 35 in Ranbir Market for quite some time. If you’re familiar with the Tawi area or Indra Chowk, you know how crowded it can get around here. It’s a small shop, but it gets the job done for anyone looking to move around Jammu or further out. I spend a lot of my day just handling paperwork and talking to regulars who have been booking with us for years. We aren't some big internet company. We are just a local travel shop where you can actually talk to a person face to face. Sometimes the market is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard over the traffic outside. We handle all sorts of travel requests, from bus tickets to hiring a whole car for the family. We know the local drivers and which ones are reliable. It’s a bit of a squeeze in the shop when more than two people come in at once, but we make it work. We don't have any scripted lines to say to you. We just ask where you want to go and see what we can find. It’s straightforward work. Most of our customers are just people from the neighborhood or travelers who wandered in from Indra Chowk looking for a way out of town. We just keep the shop open and take things as they come.
