Working out of the Bahu Plaza Rail Head Complex in Jammu is interesting because there’s never really a dull moment. We are over in the North Block, room 211A 1. Being so close to the Jammu Railway Station means there are always people carrying heavy bags and looking a bit lost. J K Travel India is our name, and we’ve been in this spot for quite some time now. The complex is huge, so I usually tell people to just look for the North Block to find us easily. It’s a bit of a walk from the main entrance, but not too bad once you know the way. Inside the office, it’s mostly just desks and maps. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at computer screens. The 180012 area code is where we belong. You get used to the sound of the trains and the announcements from the station in the background. It feels very connected to the rest of the country. We don’t have those polished brochures you see in big cities. We just tell people the truth about the routes and the hotels they are asking about. It’s a busy life, and sometimes the office feels a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. But it’s a good place to be if you want to see the real side of Jammu’s travel scene. We just keep things moving, one day at a time.
