Hitachi A.C Plant In Jammu

Our place, the Hitachi A.C Plant, is over at 135/B in the Extension 1 area of Sainikcolony. If you know Jammu, you know it gets incredibly hot, so we stay pretty busy with the cooling units. We aren’t a big factory or anything, just a local hub where we manage the air conditioning work. The office is tucked away in the colony, making it easy for neighbors to drop by when their units stop blowing cold air. We have a lot of spare parts and tools piled up in the back. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is when a call comes in. We spend most of our time out on the road, going from house to house in Jammu. When we are back at the shop, we’re usually cleaning filters or testing motors. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and getting dusty. We’ve been in Sainikcolony for a good while, so we know the layout of most the houses around here. We don't use much fancy talk, we just tell people what’s wrong with their AC and how long it’ll take to fix. It’s practical work that people really appreciate when the sun is beating down. We just keep doing what we do, one unit at a time, right here in our corner of J&K. It’s a living and we enjoy helping the neighborhood stay a bit cooler during those long summer months.
