We are located down in Lane 3 of the Sidco Industrial Complex. If you know Bari Brahamana, you know it's pretty industrial and dusty with all the trucks. We share the space with Sapsara Plastic. It’s a big warehouse-style setup where we make sure the pencils get packed and sent out. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day. We spend most of our time checking the quality and making sure the wood and lead are right. It’s hot in the summer inside the sheds, but we have fans going. Most of the staff are locals from around Jammu who take the bus in. We aren't a fancy office with glass walls. It’s mostly concrete floors and stacks of boxes waiting to be loaded. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the lane because it's a bit narrow for the bigger rigs. We just deal with it as it comes. We’ve been at this spot for a good bit now. Everyone knows the pencil factory guys. It’s a straightforward job. You come in, do your shift on the line or in the office, and head home. We don't have a big reception area, just a desk near the main door where we sign people in. It’s a hard-working place. We don't spend much time on the computer unless it’s for orders. The tea here is strong and the work is steady. We like it that way.
