People around here know us from the spot in Lane No56, right over in Greater Kailash here in Jammu. We’ve been set up at Rajbir Singh’s place for a while now. It’s a busy little corner near Kaluchack. Mostly we spend the day handling crates and checking manifests. The trucks come and go, and we try to keep things moving as best as we can without getting too bogged down. It isn't a fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. Just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of paperwork. Sometimes the internet acts up, but we manage. If you’re looking for the place, just head down the lane and look for the gate. It's usually open during the day. We’ve got a couple of guys who help with the heavy lifting and making sure the labels are right. It gets a bit dusty in the summer, and the winters in Jammu make the floor pretty cold, but we keep the tea going. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking here, just the daily grind of moving stuff from one point to another. It's practical work. Most of us have lived in the area for years, so we know the shortcuts through the traffic. It’s just how we get by, day in and day out, making sure the logs stay updated. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
