Our little office is at Ashish Kumar’s place in the village of Daroke. If you are looking for Dakore Farmer Producer Company Limited, you just head into the village and ask for Ashish. Jalaun is a tough place for farming sometimes because the weather doesn’t always cooperate, but we make do with what we have. We have some files and a lot of notebooks where we keep track of things. It’s just a group of us from the village trying to make sure we get a fair price for the hard work we put into the fields. There aren't any big bosses here. We all know each other and have grown up on these same lands. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit in the shade and wait for it to come back. It’s a simple life, and this company is just a way for us to stay connected and keep the village moving forward. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not.
