Akniwa Agro Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over in Konch, which is part of the Jalaun district. We are centered around Tilak Singh’s place in the Aknewa area. It is a quiet spot, and we like it that way. We are just a group of farmers who realized that we could do more if we stood together. Jalaun can be a dry place, and farming here takes a lot of patience and knowledge of the local land. Most of us have been doing this since we were kids, helping our parents in the same fields we work now. We don't have a big corporate headquarters or anything like that. Usually, we just meet up at Tilak Singh’s and talk about what needs doing. We handle everything ourselves, from choosing the seeds to figuring out how to get the crops to the market in town. The name Akniwa Agro comes from our village, which is where our roots are. We aren't interested in fancy slogans or trying to look bigger than we are. We are just a group of local men and women who want to make sure we get a fair shake for the hard work we put into the ground. It is honest work, and it is all we know. We are just trying to make things a little more stable for the farmers in our little corner of Uttar Pradesh. If the harvest is good, we are happy, and if it is bad, we help each other through it.
