Sundaram Computers

Our shop is right near the Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Birring. If you’re in the neighborhood, you’ve probably seen the small sign for Sundaram Computers at the corner. We’ve been fixing and selling computer parts for a while now. It’s a small shop, mostly filled with monitors, tangled cables, and old keyboards waiting to be sorted. We don’t have a lot of space so things are stacked pretty high against the walls. Most of the day is spent squinting at screens or trying to find a specific tiny screw that fell on the floor. It’s just how it is with technology work. People from around Birring come in when their laptops won't turn on or when they need a new mouse because theirs broke. We just chat with them and see what we can do to help out. Sometimes it’s a quick fix like a loose wire and other times it takes us all day to figure it out. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms, so it’s just us here in our regular clothes. We don't use any fancy systems to track things, just a notebook and some memory of who brought what. The Gurudwara nearby makes it easy for people to find us when they are lost. It’s a nice landmark to have for the business. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in. It's a steady life for us. We don't have a big website, just the shop and our tools.
