Sri Chaitsnya Rice Mill

Our mill is at 208 Nehru Garden Road, which is right by Shashtri Market. It’s a noisy place because of all the machinery running to process the rice. You can hear the hum of the motors from the street. There is always a bit of grain dust in the air, which is just part of the job. We have big sacks of rice stacked up everywhere, sometimes reaching almost to the ceiling. It’s a heavy job, moving those bags around all day. We’ve been at this location on Nehru Garden Road for years. The market nearby keeps the area very busy with people buying and selling all sorts of things. We usually have trucks parked out front waiting to pick up orders or drop off raw grain. Inside, it’s mostly just the machines and the space for storage. We don't have a fancy office for meetings. If someone needs to talk to us, we just step outside where it is a bit quieter or talk over the noise. It’s a very practical way of doing things. We don't spend money on making the place look modern. As long as the mill is running and the rice is getting bagged, we are happy. The floor is concrete and worn down from years of use. It’s a lot of work but there’s a rhythm to it that we like. Dealing with farmers and traders keeps our feet on the ground every day.
