Our place is tucked away in Udyog Nagar Gadaipur, right next to the Focal Point Extension area. If you’re looking for us, we’re right by V. A. Valves. It’s a heavy industrial spot, so the roads can be a bit bumpy with all the heavy trucks carrying loads in and out all day. Cement is heavy work, and everything here is covered in a thin layer of grey dust, no matter how much we try to keep it tidy. We spend a lot of time moving bags around and making sure the storage stays dry because moisture is the enemy in our line of business. The weather really dictates how our day goes. When it’s monsoon season, we’re always checking the roof and making sure the tarps are tight. It’s a basic operation with a few desks and a lot of floor space for the stock. We don't have any big signs or bright lights. Most people who come here already know the way or are following a delivery map. The guys working the yard have a system for stacking that makes sense to them, even if it looks a bit crowded to an outsider. We take things as they come, dealing with the transport delays or the power cuts that happen every now and then in this part of Gadaipur. It’s just honest work, keeping the cement moving to wherever it's needed for the local building projects and making sure the counts are right.
