Perfect Cut Hair Saloon sits right on Sain Dass Road in Gopal Nagar. Most people find us because we are directly across from Parkash Ice Creame, which is a popular spot in Jalandhar. It’s a handy landmark for everyone. We’ve been cutting hair here for a good amount of time. It’s nothing too complicated, just a few chairs and mirrors. You walk in, sit down, and we get to work. On hot days, people often grab an ice cream across the street before or after their haircut. Our door is usually open to let some air in. The street can get noisy with all the traffic, but we are used to it by now. We aren't trying to be the most modern place in the city, we just want to do a decent job for the guys in the neighborhood. Sometimes the floors get covered in hair during a rush, and we sweep it up when we can. We talk about local news or whatever is on the television if it’s turned on. It’s a regular routine for us. We open in the morning and stay until the evening. If the chairs are full, you might have to wait a bit on the bench. We don't use appointments much, people just drop in when they have time. It’s a simple life here in Jalandhar. We’ve seen kids grow up and start bringing their own kids in for cuts. That’s the best part of being here for so many years.
