Pakeeza Hair Dressar

You can find us at Maqsudan Chowk, right in Jalandhar City. We are on Nagra Road. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the door when it’s propped open. We don’t mind it much. Pakeeza is just a straightforward hair shop. We have the usual chairs and some old pictures on the walls of different styles from a few years ago. We’ve been here in Maqsudan for a long time. People around Jalandhar 144001 know the name. We don't use any of those high-tech machines, just traditional tools that have worked for years. The towels are always being washed and dried out back on the line. It’s a small operation. We usually have a few regulars who come in every Saturday morning without fail. They know where the newspapers are kept on the side table. We don't have a receptionist, so if the phone rings, one of us just wipes our hands and picks it up. Sometimes we forget to turn the sign to "closed" even when we're done for the day. It’s a lived-in kind of place. Not everything matches, and the paint might be peeling a bit in the corner near the sink, but the mirrors are clean. That’s what matters for a hair dresser. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a good living and we like the people on Nagra Road.
