You can find us on the first floor at number 54 in New Model Town. Jalandhar is a busy city, but up here it’s a bit more tucked away from the street noise. We’ve been running this beauty salon for some time now. It’s a place where women come to get their threading done, or maybe some henna or a haircut. We have a few rooms set up for different things like facials or hair washes. It’s not a huge fancy place, but it’s clean and we keep it organized. The stairs coming up can be a bit steep, but once you’re inside, it’s a different world. We spend our days mixing colors, washing hair, and talking with the ladies who visit. Some of them have been coming to us since we first opened. We don't use any complicated systems; we just write appointments in a book and do the work. It gets really busy during wedding seasons or festivals, and then we are all working late into the evening. On regular days, it’s a steady flow of people looking for a bit of grooming. We like the work because it lets us be creative in a small way every day. It’s just us doing our best in this corner of Model Town. We focus on the basics and making sure things are done properly.
