Junas Hair Dresser

Junas Hair Dresser is located at Shop No. 242 D in Jaswant Nagar. We are pretty close to Garha Road, which is one of those streets that always seems to be under some kind of repair or just full of traffic. The shop itself is small and simple. I’ve been working in this area for a long time, and Jaswant Nagar has changed quite a bit, but the shop stays mostly the same. We have the usual setup with the old-fashioned chairs and the radio playing in the corner to keep things from being too quiet. Most of my customers are men from the nearby houses who just want a quick haircut or a shave without any fuss. They don't want to go to those big malls where everything costs three times as much. Here, we just talk about the local news or the weather while I work. It’s a one-man or two-man operation most days. The floor gets covered in hair pretty quickly, so I’m always chasing it with a broom between customers. There’s no air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that do their best when it’s 40 degrees outside in Jalandhar. It’s not the most modern place you’ll ever see, but it’s honest and it’s been here for years. I don't see any reason to change how we do things now. We just open up early, stay late, and make sure everyone leaves looking a bit better than when they walked in.
