Iconic Salons

Iconic Salons is up on the first floor of the Seiyu Complex in Model Town. We are at 5A, and if you’re looking for us, we’re right near the Singh Sabha Gurudwara, which is the easiest way to tell people where to go. Being in Jalandhar’s Model Town means there’s always a lot of foot traffic, but being on the first floor makes it a little bit quieter than being right on the pavement. We’ve been running this place for a while now, and it’s become a bit of a routine. The morning starts with getting the lights on and making sure the water heater is working so we have hot water for the washes. We see a lot of people who come in after visiting the Gurudwara or before they head out for dinner in the complex. It’s a unisex place, so we get a bit of everyone. The decor is just what we could afford when we started, nothing too flashy, just functional chairs and good lighting. Sometimes the lift in the building is out of order, and people have to take the stairs, but they don't seem to mind too much. We don't use any fancy language to describe what we do. It’s just cutting hair, doing some styling, and chatting with the people who live around here. We’re just local people trying to run a decent shop and keep the customers coming back by doing a fair job every time.
