Vinod Architect

My office is tucked away in Lane Number 6 over in Geejgarh Vihar Colony. It’s a quiet enough spot near Hawa Sadak, which is nice because the main roads in Jaipur get so loud. I’ve been working as an architect for a good number of years now. Most of my day is spent right here at Bais Godam. I handle a variety of residential and commercial projects. It’s usually just me looking over blueprints or talking to contractors on the phone. People stop by when they are thinking about building something new or maybe fixing up an old place. I don't use any fancy talk; I just tell people what will work and what won't. Sometimes a design looks good on paper but doesn't fit the actual space, so we have to adjust. It's a lot of measuring and re-measuring. I like being in this part of the city. It feels like a real neighborhood here in Geejgarh Vihar. I’ve seen many houses go up around Hawa Sadak over the years. My workspace is full of old rolls of paper and samples of materials. It’s not the tidiest place, but I know where everything is. Building things takes time, and there are always delays you don't expect. I just try to stay on top of the details. That is how I have always run things. I’m just an architect doing my job one day at a time.
