Umesh Mobile

Our shop is out on Sirsi Road, near the Gram Panchayat in Minawala, which falls under the Jaipur GPO area. It’s a bit further out from the main city center, which makes it a bit quieter than the bazaars. We handle mobile phones, mostly doing recharges and selling small things like earphones or memory cards. The shop is part of my house, so it’s a very informal setup. I usually have my tea while waiting for someone to stop by. Because we are near the Gram Panchayat, a lot of people come by when they have official work to do nearby. The road outside can get very muddy when it rains, and that brings a lot of dirt into the shop. I spend a lot of time sweeping the floor. It’s just me running the place, so if I have to go out for a bit, I just lock the door and come back later. I’ve lived in Minawala all my life, so everyone knows who I am. I don't use any fancy systems to keep track of things, just a notebook and a pen. It’s a slow-paced life compared to the city. I don’t have any big plans to expand or anything. I’m just happy to have a steady place to work where I can see my neighbors every day and help them with their phones.
