Fine Telecom Centre

Fine Telecom Centre is at number 5 on M I Road. We’ve got a small storefront there where we handle all things related to phones. It’s a tight space, mostly filled with display cases and repair tools. M I Road is always buzzing, so there is never a quiet moment outside. We spend our day helping people with their connections or trying to fix a screen that someone dropped. It’s tedious work sometimes, looking at tiny parts under a lamp, but someone has to do it. We don't have any fancy uniforms or a big reception area. You just walk in and talk to whoever is behind the counter. Sometimes we have a backlog of repairs and the shelves get a bit messy with parts and boxes. That’s just how a busy shop looks. We’ve seen a lot of changes in technology since we started, but the basic job is the same. People just want their phones to work. We talk to all sorts of people who come in off the street. Some are in a hurry, others want to chat while we work. We don't do much in the way of promotion. Our name is on the sign and that’s about it. It’s a decent place to work, even if the traffic noise never really stops. We just keep the chargers plugged in and wait for the next person to walk through the door. It gets a bit hot in the afternoon, but we have a small fan.
