Times Cellular

If you know M I Road, you know it's one of the busiest places you can be. Times Cellular is tucked away at Khetan Bhawan, right in that Bata Lane area. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. We deal with mobile phones, mostly fixing them or selling accessories like covers and chargers that people always seem to lose. The lane is narrow and there are always people rushing past to get to the main road. It gets cramped inside when more than three customers show up at once, but we manage. We aren't some big shiny showroom with bright lights and music. It’s just a counter, some tools for repairs, and shelves full of boxes. We spend a lot of time squinting at small circuit boards and trying to get screens to stop flickering. People come in upset because they dropped their phone, and we try to see if it can be saved. Sometimes it’s just a simple battery change or a new charging port. We’ve seen all kinds of phones come through here over the years, from the old button ones to the new glass ones that break if you look at them wrong. We keep the shop open late because that's when people finish work and realize they need something fixed for the next day. Khetan Bhawan is a landmark, so people usually find us eventually. We just keep at it, one phone at a time, every single day we are open for work.
