The Music School

Our school is on Jyoti Marg in Bapu Nagar, specifically at C-20. It is a place that is rarely quiet. From the moment we open, there is usually someone practicing a guitar or trying to get the hang of a keyboard. We have a few different rooms for lessons. They are not soundproof, so you can hear a bit of everything mixing together in the hallway. It is a bit chaotic but it feels right for a music school. We have some old posters on the walls and a lot of music stands that are slightly wobbly. Bapu Nagar is a good area, and we get students from the nearby houses mostly. We spend time tuning instruments and making sure there are enough chairs for everyone. Sometimes we run out of guitar picks and have to go look for more. The floor is wooden and makes a lot of noise when people walk around. We have been at this C-20 address for a while. We do not have a big fancy lobby, just a place to hang your coat and sit while you wait for your turn. It is just us and the instruments every day. We do not try to be anything other than a spot to learn some tunes. The evening is our busiest time when the school kids arrive. We just keep the doors open and let the music happen. It is a simple life focused on notes and rhythms.
