Starstruck Acting School

If you head over to Tonk Road in Jaipur and look up at Sun Tower, you will find Starstruck Acting School on the 6th floor. It is in unit 601. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is busy, but once you get up there, it’s a whole different world from the traffic below. We started this place because we wanted a space where people could just come and practice their craft. It’s not a corporate office with cubicles; it’s more of an open space with some mirrors and a few props scattered around the corners. People come here at all sorts of hours to work on their lines or try out a new character. It can get a bit loud when everyone is practicing at once, but that is how it goes. The view from the 6th floor is actually pretty good, you can see quite a bit of Jaipur from up here. We don't have any big slogans or fancy marketing stuff on the walls. It’s mostly just posters of old plays and some schedules taped to the door. The floor might have a few scuffs from all the movement, but it shows the place is being used. We just show up, open the doors, and let the students do their thing. It’s a practical setup for anyone who really wants to learn the basics of acting without any of the extra fuss.
