The Mobile Store

Our shop, The Mobile Store, is located at number 16 on M I Road. If you know this part of the city, you know how busy it gets with all the traffic and the tourists walking up and down. We have a small space here, but it’s packed with phones and all the bits and pieces that go with them. Most of my day is spent handling repairs. Someone drops their phone on the pavement and comes in here looking a bit worried about the cost of a new screen. I try to be honest about what I can do. The shop gets a lot of light from the front window, but it also gets pretty hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the glass. M I Road is a fast-moving place, so people are usually in a hurry. They want their phones fixed yesterday. I do my best with the tools I have on the workbench in the back. It’s a bit cluttered back there with tiny screws and spare parts that I’ve kept over the years. We don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us making sure things run okay. Sometimes we run out of a specific cable and I have to send someone down the street to see if another shop has it. That’s just how it works around here. It is noisy and busy but it is home for us.
