Talwars Bagicha Nursery

Talwars Bagicha Nursery is tucked away at 70 Gopal Bari, specifically down Lane No 3-01. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads, which is good for the plants, I suppose. We spend most of our time out in the dirt, checking on the saplings and making sure everything is getting enough water. The ground is always a bit muddy, so you have to watch where you step when you come in. We have all sorts of pots and bags of soil piled up near the entrance. It’s not a landscaped garden like you see in magazines; it’s a working nursery where things are growing at their own pace. Sometimes a batch of flowers doesn't bloom when we want them to, or the rain stays away too long, but that’s just how it goes with nature. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. People usually find us by word of mouth or they just live nearby and see the green over the wall. It’s a lot of physical work, bending over and lifting heavy bags, and our hands are never really clean. But there is a certain peace to being around the trees and the smell of wet earth all day. We just keep planting and hope for the best, season after season, right here in our little corner of Gopal Bari. It is a slow way to live but we like the fresh air.
