Prince & Company

Prince & Company is based at 176 Surajpole inside the Shiv Om Market. This market is a very crowded place, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out shopping. Our store is one of the many small units lined up in the lanes. We deal in various items that local people use every day. It is a modest space with shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, often requiring a ladder to reach the top items. The floor is made of old stone, and it shows the wear of many years of foot traffic. We don't have any air conditioning, so we usually have a small fan humming in the corner to keep the air moving. The name Prince & Company is painted on a board outside, though it has faded a little over time. We spend our day greeting the regulars and helping them find whatever it is they are looking for. Sometimes the market gets so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard, but that is just part of the charm of Surajpole. We are just a group of regular people working in a busy market. There isn't anything corporate about how we run things. We just try to be honest and keep enough stock for our customers. Shiv Om Market is a good place to be, and we are glad to have our little spot at number 176.
