Suman Nursery

I’ve been running Suman Nursery at D-1 on Sirsi Road for quite a long time now. It’s right here in Friends Colony, and most people around here know the spot because of the big hibiscus plants near the gate. Every morning starts early, usually around six, because the plants need water before the sun gets too hot. It is a messy job, honestly. My shoes are always covered in mud and there is always some dirt under my fingernails, but that is just how it goes when you work with soil and pots all day. We keep a lot of different things here, from small succulents to bigger trees that people put in their gardens. The shop isn't anything fancy to look at, just a patch of land filled with green. Sometimes the wind blows the dust from Sirsi Road right onto our leaves, so we have to spend time washing them down so they look bright again. I spend a lot of my day just talking to neighbors who walk by. They ask for advice on why their plants are turning yellow or what grows well in the shade. I don’t have a big degrees in this, just years of watching things grow at this address. Friends Colony is a nice place to be, and having this nursery here makes the street look a bit better than the dry parts of town. We just keep doing our thing, repotting and pruning.
