Suhana Ladies Beauty Parlour

Our little shop is tucked away at Shop No-9 on Kalwar Road, right in the Jhotwara area of Jaipur. It is directly opposite Kardhani, which makes it pretty easy for people to find us when they are out doing their daily shopping or running errands. Most days start early, around the time the sun gets bright over the dusty road. We see a lot of local women from the nearby houses who just need something quick done, like getting their eyebrows shaped or a simple hair oiling. It is not a massive place with big bright lights or anything like that. We have our regulars who come in every month, and we usually end up talking about our families or what is cooking for dinner while we work. The traffic on Kalwar Road can be quite loud with the horns honking, but once you step inside, it feels a bit calmer. We use basic things that work well. Sometimes on the weekends, it gets a bit crowded and people have to wait on the wooden bench we have inside, but nobody seems to mind much. We have been in this spot for a while now, seeing the shops around us change every few years. Jaipur gets very dusty, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the glass and making sure the place looks decent enough for the neighbors. It is just a regular neighborhood parlor where people feel comfortable.
