Adda Beauty Parlour

We are over at 271 Kailash Path in Rana Colony. It's a quiet part of Shastri Nagr here in Jaipur. The shop is called Adda Beauty Parlour, and it’s where we spend most of our daylight hours. It’s a neighborhood place through and through. Most of our customers are women who live just a few houses down or a couple of streets over. We do all the basic stuff like threading, waxing, and hair cutting. It’s not a big fancy salon with bright lights. We just have what we need to get the job done. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when three or four people show up at once, but everyone just waits their turn and chats. There’s always someone talking about a local event or a family thing. We’ve got mirrors along the wall and some old magazines if someone has to wait. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it neat, but with hair and powder everywhere, it’s a constant job. Rana Colony is a nice area to work in. People are friendly and they’ve gotten used to seeing us here every day. We don’t do much advertising; people just see the sign or hear about us from a neighbor. It’s a steady life. We open the shutters in the morning and close them when it gets dark. That’s about it for our little shop on Kailash Path.
