1St Lady Hair Beauty Saloon

You’ll find 1st Lady Hair Beauty Saloon at Shop No 24 in Pratap Nagar. We’re tucked away behind Golimar Garden, near Amer Road. It’s a small shop, but we’ve made it comfortable. There are a couple of chairs and mirrors that have been here since we started. It’s usually full of talk and the sound of scissors. We do haircuts and some basic beauty stuff for the women in the neighborhood. It’s not a high-end spa with fancy music. It’s more of a local gathering spot. People come in to get their hair done and end up staying for a cup of tea. We know most of our customers by name. We’ve seen their kids grow up. Sometimes the floor is covered in hair because we’re too busy to sweep right away. We use regular products that we know work well. Nothing too expensive or complicated. The lighting isn't perfect, but we see well enough. The shop gets a bit crowded on weekends, especially before festivals. We just take one person at a time. My sister helps out when she can. We don't have a computer for appointments. We just write names in a diary. It’s been working fine for us for years. It’s a simple business, and we like it that way. We just want people to leave feeling a bit better. Sometimes we run out of tea leaves, so we have to send someone to the corner shop.
