Simmi Electronics

We are located right at the start of Jayanti Market on M.I. Road, shop number 1. It’s a very busy spot. Simmi Electronics has been here for years, squeezed in with all the other shops. You can hear the noise from the traffic on M.I. Road all day long. Our shop is packed with all sorts of electronic bits and pieces. We have wires hanging from the ceiling and boxes stacked up to the roof. It’s not very organized to look at, but we know where everything is. People come in looking for specific parts or sometimes just to see what's new. We spend a lot of time talking to customers over the counter. It gets really crowded on the weekends when everyone is out shopping. We don't have a lot of space to move around, so we have to be careful not to knock anything over. The fans are always running to keep the heat down from all the displays. We open up early and stay late. It’s a lot of standing on your feet. There’s always someone asking for a discount or looking for something rare. We just do our thing here in the market. It’s a simple life, selling stuff and helping people find the right plug or battery. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are our friends since we’ve all been here so long. We've seen the market change a lot over the years but we just stay at number 1.
