Shri Ram Battery & Electronics

Shri Ram Battery & Electronics is our shop located on Amer Road, right along the NH-8 highway. Because of where we are, we deal with a lot of people who are traveling. Most of our work is about batteries. We have batteries for trucks, cars, and even for home inverters. It is a lot of heavy lifting. My hands are usually a bit dirty from checking terminals or moving lead-acid batteries around. The shop is basically a large room filled with black battery boxes and some electronic components on the shelves. It is not a place where you would come for a fancy shopping experience. It is a workshop. We have a few benches where we test things and a small desk where I write out the bills. NH-8 is always loud with the sound of heavy vehicles passing by. Sometimes it is so loud we have to shout a bit to be heard. We don't have a big mission statement or any fancy goals. We just want to make sure that if someone’s car breaks down, we can help them get back on the road. We have been here for several years and have built a reputation among the local drivers and long-distance truckers. They know they can stop here and get a straight answer about their battery. It is hard work, especially in the summer heat, but it is what we do. We just keep the shop open and wait for the next customer.
