Our workshop is located at 21-A on Vanasthali Marg, right near Station Road. It’s a busy spot because there are always cars and rickshaws breaking down around here. We specialize in the electrical side of things, like fixing self-starters, dynamos, and all the wiring that goes through a dashboard. The shop is full of rolls of wire, soldering irons, and old car parts that we keep for spares. It is a messy job, and my overalls are usually covered in oil by lunchtime. We don't have a fancy waiting room, just a couple of stools near the entrance where people wait while we find the short circuit in their lights. The noise from the main road is constant, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard over the engines. I’ve been working on car electronics for years, so I can usually find a fault pretty quickly with my tester. We also handle battery charging and replacement if someone is stuck. It’s not a big corporate service center, just me and a couple of helpers doing the work with our hands. We stay open as long as there are vehicles that need fixing, often working under a handheld lamp when the sun goes down. It’s honest work, and it keeps us busy every single day because there is always some car with a blown fuse or a dead horn.
