Shree Vinayak Men Saloon

Shree Vinayak Men Saloon is on Vishvamitra Marg, which is in the Khatipura area of Jaipur. If you know where Khirni Phatak is, we are just near there. The shop isn't anything huge, just a regular place where men from around here come to get their hair cut or a quick shave. We have been here for a bit now and have seen the neighborhood change quite a lot. The street gets pretty dusty in the afternoons, but we try to keep the shop as tidy as possible. There are a few chairs and mirrors, and usually some old newspaper lying around for people to read while they wait their turn. It’s mostly just us working through the day, talking to the neighbors and hearing about what is going on in Jaipur. We don’t do any of that fancy styling you see on TV, just the normal stuff that people need for their daily lives. The shop opens early and we stay until the evening when the lights on the street come on. Sometimes it gets busy and other times it is just quiet and we sit by the door watching the bikes go by. It is just a small local business and we don't try to make it seem like more than that. People know us by name and we know them too. That is how things usually work around here in this part of town, without any fuss or fancy talk.
