You can find us at Shop No-12 in Avdhpuri Second, which is part of Mahesh Nagar here in Jaipur. The shop is called Shree Shyam Hair Cut Salon. It’s a basic place for men and boys to get their hair looked after. We’ve got the standard barber chairs and big mirrors on the wall. The shop isn't very large, but it’s enough for what we do. We spend our days cutting hair and giving shaves. It’s the kind of place where you can just sit down, get your hair cut, and maybe talk a bit about cricket or the weather. Mahesh Nagar is a busy residential area, so we get a lot of locals who just walk over from their homes. On Sundays, there’s usually a bit of a wait because that’s when everyone has their day off. We have an old radio that plays music in the background while we work. The floor gets covered in hair quickly, so we are always sweeping it up between customers. We don’t have any fancy air conditioning or leather sofas, just simple chairs for people to wait in. It’s a straightforward business. We know our regulars and how they like their hair cut, so we don't have to ask many questions. We’ve been in this shop for a long time and plan to stay here. It’s a good neighborhood and we like the people who live around here.
