Our workshop is down in Bais Godam, at Sudershanpura Extension, D-19. It’s an industrial sort of area, so it gets pretty loud with all the machines running. A lot of metal work happens here. There’s usually a pile of scrap in one corner and some half-finished pieces in another. Cutting, bending, and welding take up most of our time. It’s dirty work, leaving our hands covered in grease or dust by the end of the day. Because the roof is high, the heat is manageable, but it still gets stuffy during heavy welding. We have a few old machines that have been with us for years. They still work fine if you know how to talk to them. This isn't a place for nice clothes. Since we don't have a showroom, people usually come to us for specific metal items. Drawing things out on the floor with chalk helps us figure out the dimensions. It involves a lot of trial and error. Keeping our heads down and getting the work done is our main focus. The tea guy comes by twice a day, which is usually the highlight of the afternoon. Being in this part of town is helpful because all the suppliers are close by. There is always a lot of clanging and banging, but you get used to the noise after a while. Most of the time we are just focused on the sparks and the heavy metal.
