Shivam Mobile

Our little shop, Shivam Mobile, is tucked away in Chandpole Bazar on Unairon Ka Rasta, at B 9. It’s a narrow lane, and it’s always busy with people looking for parts or repairs. We mostly spend our time hunched over small desks with magnifying glasses and tiny screwdrivers. Phones are fragile things, and people are always dropping them or getting them wet. We see it all. I started fixing phones because I liked taking things apart when I was a kid. Now it’s my job. We sell some accessories too, like covers and chargers, but mostly we are known for fixing things. We don't have a big fancy sign or a lot of space. It’s just me and a couple of guys who are good with their hands. We don't give you a long speech about technology; we just tell you if we can fix it and how much it will cost. Sometimes we can't get the parts, and we have to tell the customer the truth. That’s just how it is. The area is lively, and there’s always someone selling snacks or tea right outside. It’s a good spot, even if it gets a bit cramped when three or four customers come in at once. We just keep working through the pile of phones on the counter. It isn't a glamorous life, but solving a problem for someone who lost their photos or contacts is a good feeling.
